Mood Board Monday: Modern Rustic Italian Patio Design

In the spirit of summer and the need to be outside, I was inspired to design our patio. Believe me that baby needs a little loving. We pretty much just use the grill real quick and that’s it. However, its time to give ourselves a reason to chill outside and enjoy summer day or night and hopefully I can inspire you. For this mood board I am going with a modern rustic Italian vibe for the patio space.

I want you to feel the warmth and boldness that the mood board invokes. The moment I open the patio doors these feelings should just hit you in the face or at least a slight slap. I am mixing wood tones with cold concrete to give it that modern edge, but still keeping that cozy and serene feel with the fabric used in the pillows and cushions. It’s a very neutral color palette, however the there will be pops of color with the lavender and greenery.

Like I said before I wanted to keep it very neutral to get that calm and serene feel. The only pops of color that I plan to add is a muted lavender and greenery. Don’t get me wrong I love color , I play with color all the time as you can see from my previous mood board post, but I’m a neutral girl at heart. So for my home you will see a lot of white and wood tones with pops of muted colors here and there. All the furniture pieces are from Restoration Hardware and would probably cost me a pretty penny. But You know I love my DIYs. So I plan on recreating the patio furniture and the concrete dining table myself which I’m so excited to try. Of course once I completed the projects you will be able to see the plans.

The other items are mostly from Target of course. I can’t tell you how much I love shopping at target for home decor. Plus my girl Joanna Gaines has a line there, Heath & Hand, yass girl its like red store heaven(at least for me). Plus you can’t go wrong with the Cartwheel app and the red card discounts. These add additional discounts to the already sale that some pieces have. I call that a win win.

If you’re interested in the Target pieces the links will be down below.
